A Coin-Op Shipper's Checklist for a Great Vending Move
Quick answer
A great vending machine move means the machine works the first time it is plugged in, arrives with no new damage, causes no damage to either building, and shows up when promised. Coin Machine Shippers plans access ahead, ships vending machines upright and strapped, and delivers them to their exact spot.

We ship pinball machines, arcade cabinets, jukeboxes, slot machines and vending machines. Of all of them, a vending machine is the one that has to go straight back to work when it lands. It is not going into a game room to be admired. It is going into a break room or a lobby to start selling. That changes what a good move looks like. Here is the checklist.

FreeBefore Pickup
- Your shipper asks for make, model, dimensions, weight and photos of the path at both ends.
- Stairs, elevators, dock access, door widths and site hours are settled ahead of time.
- Product is pulled and cash and coins are emptied by the operator.
- Shelves, spirals and trays are secured and the door is locked and strapped.
- The cord is coiled and taped, and glass fronts and card readers are padded.
On the Truck
A full-size vending machine can weigh several hundred pounds and carries much of that weight high and toward the back. It should ride upright, come on and off by liftgate, and be strapped so it cannot shift. For a refrigerated machine, staying upright is what protects the compressor.
At Delivery
- Floors, door frames and elevator walls are protected.
- The crew checks in with the site contact and works around the location’s hours.
- The machine goes to its exact spot, not the curb.
- It is leveled, with room behind it for airflow and an outlet within reach.
- A refrigerated unit sits upright and settles before it is plugged in, following the manufacturer’s guidance.
One Carrier, Start to Finish
Every handoff between carriers is another chance for a machine to be tipped, dropped or left on a dock. A great vending move has one company responsible from pickup to delivery, with a pickup window, a delivery window, and photos at both ends.
The Five-Point Test
- The machine works the first time it is plugged in.
- No new dents, scratches or cracked glass.
- No damage to either building.
- It arrived when you were told it would.
- Your location contact has nothing to complain about.
