A jukebox is not a piece of furniture. It is heavy, top-heavy, full of glass, chrome and a mechanism that took decades to perfect. Coin Machine Shippers is a specialty mover: coin-operated machines are the only thing we ship. That is why collectors, buyers, sellers, bars and restaurants call us when a jukebox has to cross town or cross the country.

The jukebox brands we ship every week

Every jukebox maker built its machines a little differently, so the way a cabinet is padded, strapped and carried changes from brand to brand. Here is a look at the makers we move most often and what each one asks of the people handling it.

Wurlitzer

Wurlitzer is the name most people picture when they hear "jukebox". Classics like the 1946 Wurlitzer 1015, with its bubble tubes and arched top, are prized collector pieces. The glass and lighting need careful handling, because the curved top and the tubes are the first things to suffer in a rough move.

Rock-Ola

Rock-Ola is the Chicago maker founded by David C. Rockola. From vintage 78 rpm machines to later CD models and reproductions, Rock-Ola cabinets are solid and heavy. That weight is exactly why they need to be strapped in place and moved with the right equipment.

Seeburg

Seeburg is another Chicago name, famous for the Select-O-Matic mechanism that brought 100 selections to the jukebox in 1948. Seeburg machines have long, wide cabinets and delicate mechanisms, so they are padded on every side and kept upright and still from pickup to delivery.

AMI and Rowe/AMI

AMI, the Automatic Musical Instrument Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, later carried on as Rowe/AMI. Their machines span 78s, 45s and CDs, which means the mechanism inside can be very different from one model to the next. We look at the model before we plan how it is wrapped and secured.

TouchTunes

TouchTunes makes the digital jukeboxes of today, including the wall-mounted and floor models found in bars and restaurants. They are lighter than vintage units, but the screens and electronics still need protection from knocks and shifting.

NSM

NSM is the German manufacturer known for CD jukeboxes in pubs and restaurants on both sides of the Atlantic. These machines are built for busy venues, and we wrap and secure them with the same care as any collector piece.

How we protect your jukebox

Whatever the brand, the goal is the same: the jukebox arrives looking and working the way it did when it left. A jukebox that tips or shifts even once can crack glass or knock a mechanism out of adjustment, so every step is built around keeping it upright and still.

  • We photograph the machine and take an inventory before it moves, so its condition is on record.
  • Corner boards and protection go on every edge.
  • The jukebox is pad wrapped, then stretch wrapped.
  • It is loaded and secured upright.
  • One carrier is responsible from pickup to delivery, with no handoffs.
  • Delivery is door to door, nationwide.

Who we ship for

Jukeboxes move for many reasons, and we work with all of the people behind them. That includes:

  • Collectors and restorers
  • Buyers and sellers of vintage machines, including online and auction purchases
  • Bars, restaurants and game rooms
  • Operators moving digital jukeboxes between locations

Pickup and asset recovery

We also handle pickup and asset recovery of machines. If a jukebox needs to be collected from a location and brought back, or moved out of a venue, we can plan that as its own job.
